2021 Hollings Preparation Program (HPP)

- Key Info: Are you a first year undergraduate interested in marine science? Join us! The Greater Farallones Kelp Recovery Program in San Francisco and other NOAA facilities will be hosting NOAA Hollings Preparation Program interns in 2021.The NOAA Hollings Preparation Program (HPP) is offering an exciting summer opportunity for undergraduate students heading into their second year of college in 2021. This 4-6 week internship offers a $500 scholarship, a $4,000 stipend, and the opportunity to work with a program along the West Coast to learn about NOAA-related science, research, policy, management and education. The program will prepare undergraduate freshmen to be competitive applicants for the full NOAA Hollings Scholarship in their sophomore year of college. Applicants are matched by region to a NOAA facility that is within commuting distance; however, the internship can be remote. NOAA aims to support a diverse and qualified pool of applicants, particularly from underrepresented groups.

Northern California Botanists Research Scholarship
- Deadline to Apply: March 15, 2021.
- Award Amount: $1,000 annually for up to two years for undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a Master's degree.
- Key Info: Northern California Botanists provides competitive botany and plant ecology research scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students attending a college and university. Research scholarships will be funded by NCB with the goals of encouraging undergraduate students to pursue academic endeavors toward a career in botany, promoting undergraduate and graduate botany and plant ecology research, and implementing objectives of the NCB mission.

African Ancestry Faculty & Staff Association Scholarship
- Deadline to Apply: April 1, 2021.
- Award Amount: $1,000.
- Key Info: African Ancestry Faculty and Staff Association (AAFSA) are pleased to announce the AAFSA Scholarship, open to eligible CSU East Bay students. To qualify for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements:

AANAPISI Scholarship

- Award Amount: One-time $2,500 awards - multi-year $5,000 awards.
- Key Info: The Asian American and Native American Pacific Islander-Serving Institution (AANAPISI) Scholarship Program is a collaboration with AANAPISIs and the communities they serve to provide scholarships, expand institutional capacity and mobilize local resources to help foster economic development.
